CBR ITB SETUP Need Instructions
Nathan I was thinking of buying a golden eagle vacuum box but if you can make one and its just as good I'd rather hand some money to you. All the hoses are in the right place, I have the black canister and purge solenoid closed up but I don't think that would cause it, someone told me to make a template for the iacv but I'm not sure if that would help either. I might end up keeping them just because I know they can be fixed, because Saturday and Sunday the power was simply amazing and I'm not just gonna give up. Does anyone if the weather would play a big role in them, I was told yes from someone but I would like to here what others think.

You probably fouled your spark plugs (fuel fouled). This is because your running so rich. Get a A/F reader and adjust your FPR and whatever method your using to trim fuel, I think you said you had Hondata. if your not running a aftermarket ignition system then you might need to look into one. MSD or Jacobs can be had at a reasonable price.
I'll make a canister for you; its like $30, though. I'm using brass nipples for the vac hoses. If you want me to use the Plastic nipples it will be less $$$...but then it will be less durable...Let me show you what I have and then you decide.

Weird, i seemed to have missed this thread all together. I've mainly been frequenting the all motor board to put in my input and success' with the cbr setups. I'm glad to see there are people out there giving this a go. 90blackcrx, glad to see you got them on there, sorry they haven't worked out for you so far. stick it out and you'll be more than happy with the results. I've had a set of the cbr 954 40mm throttle bodies on my b16 for over 2 1/2 months now with no problems. I drive my car over 20 miles a day and over 120 miles yesterday in a three hour period(the biggest test yet on them). I am running a chipped pr4 ecu, i have vtec wired through a msd rpm switch. I installed a vafcII a few weeks ago but have yet to "tune" them and as a matter of fact I haven't wired the map wires into it yet. I have found great results of turning my idle(900rpms) fuel pressure to right around 32-24 psi. Below 4k rpms it'll smoke when its not warmed up and idle low(500rpms
) but nothing unbearable by any means.
Here is a picture of my first dirty setup(velocity stacks on order) and a friends b16 powered crx 38mm setup that i just put on that came out amazingly clean and yielded him flawless results as well with a stock ecu and very minimal tuning on the vafc. I will hopefully be installing a set of 38mm's on a d15 vtec here shortly to give me some practice on the single cams.

Well I installed the stock mani back on, just wanted to say a few words that might explain things, today when I went to check for fuel line leaks I forgot to put the tps on, well I actually tried starting the car 2 or 3 times. Well when everything was done today the car seem to be back firing a little, at idle it was more of like a puff..................................... puff kind of thing, but when you stomped on the gas you could hear it popping. So where am I going with this, well when I had the itb's on it felt the same way, so I changed the plugs out and the car runs 100% smoother, so I believe when I had the itb's on, part of my problem was the spark plugs.
You fouled them out so it was running on three(or less) cylinders most likely. When i installed the aftermarket fuel rail and regulator and stuff it fouled them and would barely run just cause i had the fuel pressure up to about 45psi on the aeromotive. Every once in a while if i let the car idle for over 10 minutes or so and then go to drive it it'll feel the same, just gets flooded but after about a minute of driving it clears itself out and runs good again.
Didn't I say this in a post alittle bit ago...<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by nathan atwell »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">You probably fouled your spark plugs (fuel fouled). Anyway... you should put your itbs back on and continue with this project. I've finished the vacuum log today. post pix later

Here is the Vac canister. ( The original photos have been lost. These are retakes.)
This is the Map sensor location. Inside is a small area that is seperate from the rest of the canister. It has two hoses going into the canister; just like the manifold, except larger hoses.

The various vac sources.

This nipple is the for the Brake Booster.

So far so good. Now, just needs to be cleaned up and installed. Wish me luck

I've had alot of people pm'ing me asking how I did this or how I did that...First things first. I did hours of research on why this setup is superior to a IM. I researched what I would need to control them and i thought about exactly what direction I wanted to go as far as fabrication. I worst thing you can do is waste time on something. So, my advice is do more research on this setup that you can stand. Looking at Toda and TWM websites is a good place to start. Then see what people who have already succeeded in them say. Is it worth it to you to do this or do you think that you'll make amazing horsepower from ITBs. You can get more power from a turbo or supercharger and spend thousands less doing it. But, Everyone has done the turbo thing, including me, but how dope is going to be when you smoke that dude with the turbo this or supercharged/nitrous that and he asks you "Whatcha running," and You can just smile and say "All motor." This is a pricey venture and those of you who do not have the adequate funds should either save for ALL MOTOR or go turbo.
Good luck
Good luck
Here is another thread, some people brought up some good points.

I just got a reply from Howard at Toda. He looked at my canister and gave me the thumbs up on it. He said that the can should be adequate for my itbs and the MAP sensor issue. He said that It will help the S200 read the map better. He also said that it looked like I used too many nipples and didn't need all of them but I told him that I was going to use some of the nipples for vac readings to monitor the engine ,i.e. piston rings (Blow By).
This is good news for all of the Hondata users.
If you guys want me to build you a canister, pm me and we can work something out.

Nathan put them on already
, I came across this setup on ebay, guy was selling his rex. Just had me thinking about what he did and why.

WOW...I don't know what is going on here but I don't think this is the best way to do an ITB setup. Have you ever looked at the firewall, it does get some water. And those tubes are too long. He's just losing HP.
