I posted this in the Integra forum but I felt the Tech forum would be more appropriate and yield better results.
Installed Carbotech XPs up front and Ps in the rear. The XPs squeek like a **** all the time, cept when braking. Called up Carbotech and Larry wouldnt let me waste my money buying different pads, claiming that it wasnt the pad that was the problem, it was because they were rubbing on the rotor. Squeeling from low line pressure (not breaking) is proof of that. Recommended trying shims or the anti squeek compound. I tried the anti squeek goo, and it fixed my noise for about 100 feet then it came back. I followed the directions.
Any other ideas?

yea those may make a significant squeeking sound
check the rotors for warpage
might want to regrease the pad backing with a very thin layer of just the **** that autozon sells
works for me and my axxis ultimate pads.

Those pads are hardcore. They just plain-and-simple are going to be loud. Consider some less agressive pads (Honda pads work great on the street) if the noise bothers you.

I agree that they would be louder tham OE pads.. but should they make noise all the time? It would make sense that they would make noise when they are actually being used. I think its pad chadder and that can be fixed. I think I half fixed the problem and I want to do it over again. Pre Goo they made noise ALL the time - post goo they are totally quiet until they are warmed up after Ive used them a few times and then they are noticably quieter. Its like they are getting loose.
I thinkign maybe I shuld just tear the fronts apart again and clean em out good with brake cleaner, lube up the brackets with white lithium grease and maybe use some more goo on the contact areas on the back of the pads.
Is there anyway to clean off the dried goo and start over or is it permanent?

Ok tore it all apart again. Shims, glue (anti-squeak), grease. Quiet until first hard break when inner pad breaks loose from piston. I dont think its the pad thats the problem, its movement of the pad. Its getting hung up on the rotor. Judging from the rythmic sound now Im thinking it maybe a warped rotor?
Just curious is anyone using Carbotech XPs that dont squeak?
