Default car wont start anymore

i steam cleaned my engine today. i didnt cover anything (cuz im a lazy ***) but i didnt spray water directly onto dizzy, top of motor, map sensor area, or resistor box area. i did spray onto alternator and starter.
after i was done, i ran my car till everything was burnt off.
then i drove again tonight and all of a sudden my car dies in the middle of the road! i quickly pull to the side avoiding traffic behind me. i tried to start it but nothing. it would crank but wont fire up. i checked fuses and all connections. everything is fine. couldnt get it to start so i let some tow truck company rape me of 50 bux to tow it to my house.
my friend told me water might of gotten in some places so just let it dry overnight and it will start tomorrow.
anyone with opinions? thanks

Did you check for spark? It sounds like some water DID get into the distributor. Why not take a look and spray it out with something that'll displace moisture?
