alright i just tested the coil by taking off a spark plug wire and plugging it into the tower under the distributor cap. I then put the other end on a spark plug and laid it on my valve cover. I put a wire from the neg. of the coil and touched the other side to ground. The wire sparked from the neg. to where i grounded it , but the spark plug just sat there on the valve cover. So I guess the coil's burnt out right?.....is there anything i should look into before buying one?.....and do I buy OEM or will autozone be fine.....or possibly a used one?

As far as electrical goes, OEM Honda parts are the only way to go. It's not cheap either.

I got a used coil from arunto he said was used for about 1k miles. .........Same ol ****......anyone able to lead me in the right direction....the only thing i notice is that when I try to crank it and then turn the key off the engine gives a little kick. It kicks back and shakes the car....i have no clue what it could be......is it time for me to take this thing in?

i had the same problem and i replaced my alternator and what i found out was that my rotor in my dizzy came loose or sumthin and also at the same time for some reason the ecu or sumthin that tells the #1 injector to spray wasnt. get those checked.

I'm gonna check the ignitor......my rotor is fine.....not sure how your ECU did that....i don't have a conversion harness for the one that came with the swap......but i'm pretty sure my ECU isn't bad

wow.....it feels good lol....now if only I could get the occasional RPM stick figured out.......someone mentioned something awhile ago about the IACV screen being clogged up or somethin.........any insight on this?.....As I accelerate through 1st it'll stick between 3-4k and i'm forced to shift into 2nd.....and then it occasionally does it in 2nd....so I head to 3rd...but as soon as I downshift to 2nd...it takes off......but i will suggest not trading your hatchie for a 2000 malibu...just not the same lol
