This happened first the other night comin back form the track. But i was driving and all of a sudden my speedo, and tach started to jump up nad down, then both died started to read 0, then my radio went off, and light started to get more and more dim, till a few miles later the car just died and would not start.

The thing sat in the garage, i was puttin some new parts on, changed the oil in the mean time, also i bought a new battery, cause the old one was bad. The thing ran perfect.

Better then before. However when it turned night, i had to turn my lights on and such, same problem arose. The thing just went to total ****. I let the thing sit last night. Drove to work today(in the day time). And the same thing happened, speedo went to 0, same as tach, then it just died. I couldnt even turn on my hazzards no power.

So now i have no idea what the problem is. Im guessing its electical, maybe the ELD or something? Any thoughts?

 

change your alternator

 

im thinkin that as well right now.

I jump started the car, it ran, but it would die when i let it drop it idle. Tried to drive it home, almost got there, but the thing died again and would not start.

 

Definately the alt.

 

yeah sounds like it isn't charging..

 

it happened to me a year ago. alternator. although i got home - the battery light on the dash kinda gave it away
