cant pull the check engine light - HELP!
ive got a check engine light on right now, and i tried jumping the little wires under the glove box area, and nothing happens. And its not just with this swap/ecu that i havnt been able to pull the code...
its always been that i found out manually/visually what was causing the check engine light and resolved it like that, but now, ive got a check engine light on my fully built b16, and i still cant pull a code!!
is there a particular pin on the ecu that could be grounded or something similar that would achive the same effect as paper-clipping the jumper?
thnks advance for ur input and advice

car is a 92 civic hatchback cx. with a p30 ecu right now, and a b16 motor
i had the same problem with the p28 ecu and d16z6 back then.
and even when i had the crappy stock motor.
its obd-1 eg6 now.

u sure ur jumping the right one..? i think its the gray plug, or whichever on has 2 slots, theres one with 3 next to it...both are held in a green rubber thingy..take it out..
yep, positive im doing the right one.
in fact, on my car its weird, it dosnt have the little harness w/ 3 wires like most obd-1 civics/del sols ive seen, mine just has the 2 wire plug only, its not accompanied by any 3 wire plus like most others...
dont know if that means anything, but thats the situation.

im stumpt hardcore, cuz i need to pull the code
is there a pin on the ecu that can be jumped that would accomplish the same thing this little 2 wire plug does?

I pulled out my trusty 1993 Civic Helms, and according to the manual, you should jump D4 to D22. Make sure you have a solid connection.
ok, when i 'pull the code' the check engine light just stays on solid, i waited for over 30 seconds and it just stays on solid. is there anything i should do in series or by patter to pull it properly?
i put the wires in place, and turn the ignition to on position without starting the car - and the light just holds solid.

My Helm book ('95 Integra) says code 0 is when the ECM is bad.
Never happened to me, so I don't know if that's indicated by a CEL that stays lit or stays off...
