can someone explain wat a purge valve does
i recently converted my b16a2 o obd1.my cx harness has the clips for the purge valve,but it does not plug into the valve on the b16.i called hasport and the told me its not necessary for me to hook it up.is this possible. by the way the purge valve is locates on the fuel rail with vaccum lines to the canister

Under part throttle operation, it purges the gas fumes in the charcoal canister to be burned in the engine. It's an emmision device. It doesn't hurt performance.
