I have searched all over and have not found an exact answer to my confusion or lack of knowledge. I am building an Ls/Vtec and this is my first racing engine build. I am not sure what cams to go with becuase I plan on turboing the setup later on. I have a B18A1 block and a B16A1(PR3) head. I have looked at Skunk and buddyclub and crane cams my confusion is Crane cams website shows the set of cams that I want require 12:1 compression pistons which would make turboing out of the question. Is it possible to get cams that can handle 9k rpm revs and be turboed as well? Or is it a one or the other thing kinda build? I just want to make sure the cams I buy will work for my application. I guess what im asking here is what is the relationship between piston and cam as far as ratios go. Would a combonation of Lower compression pistons be a bad idea as far as running these bigger lobe cams?

 

for all motor in a performance aspect yes, for boost should be fine alot of guys run some pretty "aggressive" cam profiles with there boosted setups and have good results

na-agressive cams(decision based on compression, intake, exhaust mods)
