turns out this head was missing cams, camshafts, pulleys and cam seals when i bought it so i have to buy some new ones...
now...how many do i need...
im a real noob when it comes to the timing belt/head section ...that whole area is like a jungle to me...
alright so there is only 1 cam seal i need to buy..but arent there 2 more seals? what are they called? i tried to buy a cam seal @ jhpusa.com and they charge 25 bucks for it...the guy told me that i only needed 1 seal so i was like oooooooooooook wtf i got some wrong info..i thought i was supposed to buy 3...can someone give me some info concerning this plz?

 

so u need cams/gears and seals? sounds ok so far

u need 1 seal per cam and it goes on the end nearest the gear, d other end allows oil to the distribtor and the dizzy has an oring.

what motor b d ???

u got the cam bearings and rockers didn't u??

The cam seal you were trying to get is a replacement for the crappy plastic one at the end of the exhaust cam, opposite side of the cam gears. You only need one of those because the distributor connects to the end of the other one. You also need the seals on the cam gear side, which are different.
