Im getting my head ported and polished and have a few questions about it. I had a Web Cam regrind that was in my car but I had so many problems with getting the car to rum right that everyone said get a stock cam and put it back in there so I guess Im finally gonna do that. One reason is because the cam that I would like to get is a Crane Cam and it is $870.00 I dont have that to spend on a cam right now and the other is I know that the factory cam I can pretty much drop it in there and it will run and not require as much tuning but will it do good with the head,intake manifold,throttle body, ported and polished. Would it be a good idea to retune my ecu and take out the rev and speed limiter with a factory cam. I was planning on putting in some new springs and titanium retainers with the factory cam but I know of some people saying there is no real reason to retune your ecu if you got a stock cam. I was also pretty much set on knocking my car down to obd-I instead of obd-II with one of those harnesses and getting that ecu rechipped what exactly should I do? I know more about dohc engines than I know about my own sohc d16y8 someone out there has got to have faith in the single cams. I have already had nitrous it was great and I sold it to one of my best friends like an idiot but I got tired of spending the extra money on refills. Anyways Im rambling on.
