Default Cam Gear Adjustment

sup ive receently bought an 00'si w/ full brakes, suspension and bolt ons. I have JG cam gears on stock cam shafts. i was told that the cam gears are not doing ****, since im on stock camshafts. I was thinking maybe buying some Type R cams or skunk2 ...not sure yet. Although is this true? how do i know which angle my cam gears are adjusted? thanks

i already changed my timing belt before i installed the cam gears. although i do not know how to tune/adjust them, i was told i must have aftermarket cams in order to do that. is this true? how would i adjust it if i do buy some aftermarket cams? thanks

the only way to see gains or not is on a dyno

we can't see the timing marks in those pictures.

how hard is it to look at the marks on the cam gears to see if they are at zero?

and the only way your gonna get the maximum power from them is to dyno tune it......you will never feel the diffrence in cam gear adjustment on stock cams if you try to street tune them.

the only think cam gears can do with stock cams is shift the powerband; assuming your on a dyno you could set them to have a lil. more top end or a lil more mid or a lil more low; you get my drift.
With aftermarket cams is the same, its just that sometimes aftermarket cams are not perfectly centered so you would gain power by setting them where they are supposed to be.
