they pressure plates are the same, the only thing different is the clutch disc, reason behind this is because the spline on the tranny's are diferent so the disc are different but the pressure plates are the same, it depends what tranny u want to use, and u get the clutch disc for that tranny

this is for b-series

d seriries are all interchangeable. for b serries, y1/s1 run a smalller spline 21? ys1/s80 run a larger spline 22? not sure about the spline count, but the literature is accurate

The splines may look very similar to the eye but the hydro is about 1mm larger in diameter.

changing the inputshaft bearing, t/o bering, plate and disc is always ideal when you have everything out, but technically, only the disc needs to be changed.

Well just figured this out the hard way. Pretty sure the pressure plates on a hydro and cable D series are not the same. Just wanting to get my 89 Si hatch on the road so i threw in an eg D15B7 w/ my ef cable D16A6 Si tranny. Im not sure if I used the EG hydro disc or the EF cable disc, but they seem to fit fine w/ the thow out bearing...once the tranny was on, i was not able to shift out of 1st, which indeed messed up my throw out bearing. My mechanic and I think it was the EG pressure plate that was used.

Just wanted to put in my 2cents, its also my first time doing this hydro or cable tranny clutch jobs, u know not knowing to use watever clutch assembly for the tranny or for the motor. Please correct me if Im wrong.
