alrite hoping someone might be more knowledgeabe then i am. heres my situation my daily commuter 2000 civic lx, has a problem with its a/c only being cold when i am driving around when im at a stop light it gets pretty warm. iv done 3 things ive made sure that the condensor fan comes on ive changed the compressor and ive change the drier the only thing left is to change the actual condensor and the evaporator. anyone have any ideas of what it could be.

I used to have that problem on a 96 GST eclipse i had. Check and make sure the clutch is staying engaged, if not, either the clutch is bad, or, it could be the "pressure cycling switch" or "clutch cycling switch". Its the switch which obviously engages and holds the clutch in place while you run the a/c.

probably the fins on the condensor are all folded over from rocks, when drving a lot more air is getting pushed through, but stand still not enough and the condensor is not working at potential. Same on my car, too lazy to change it cause it still works ok.

also if you have a dark coulored car, with black interior and no tints that won't help either.

i agree check fins on condensor. the line after the condensor should be a warm feel.
