I have a 94 civic that I recently put stock motor back in. a/c worked fabulous before I pulled it out. well I went to a shop to have my a/c recharged thinking it was gonna blow cold. the clutch didn't engage. when I start it up after its been sitting for awhile it'll engage for about 5mins but barely blow cold.. I'm completely lost on what to do tried searching and searching .can't seem to get it...plus it's nearly in the 100° I need ac plz help

Does the condenser fan run when the compressor clutch does engage?

 

yes the fan turns on and the idle changes. I also jumped the pressure switch an still didn't kick on.

 

under charged or over charged system possibly. Make sure the shop put the correct amount of freon in there

 

yes it was interchanged but not it doesn't get cold. clutch stays on longer but doesn't get cold like it should. possibly the expansion valve?

 

Check the compressor clutch connector for 12V when the A/C Switch is pressed. If 12V is present check the compressor ground wire, and if intact, replace the clutch. If voltage is not present you will need to diagnose the relay that controls power to the compressor to start.
