Default A/C=Power Loss

Recently I took a trip to West Virginia and on the way back it got a little hot, so I flipped on the A/C , and what I noticed is when my rpms reached between 3500 and 4500 I would lose power for a split second. Anyone have this problem. It did while downshifting also.

When A/C is on it should be running weaker and you should never punch it with a/c on it will mess up the a/c tensioner happen to me

AC runs off the crank pulley and therefore more power is going to be robbed from the engine to run the AC.

Whenever I want to pass or go fast at all ,I shut it of, but normal highway driving and it does this.
Say I have it in fourth gear on cruise, if I go down or up a hill and it reaches 3500-4500 it feels like it there is a quick miss, and if I stay in that rpm range it will do again about 20 seconds later. I know my A/C robs power but I wouldnt think that it would make my car miss, do you?

honda compressors love to explode if they get over revved to much. my 95's just ******* a-bombed my engine bay when i was hitting it up the freeway onramp.

lol, damn. Just take it out! Save the weight and ditch the ugly AC lines!

EDIT: How hot does it really get in MD? Just open the windows. And if anyone wants to purchase the compressor I took off my 96 Integra, let me know via a message or email.

Its MO Missouri, and in the summer where I live it gets to about 100 at least every year, then you have the damn humidity which makes it feel about 120. It is so bad that when you walk outside, you dont even have to sweat cause your already wet! haha

I have it happen on my Accord. It's a 97' EX 5-spd.
I have 96,000 miles. No idea what it is...
Never used to do it though.

(and for all you dumbass's who don't read)
we're experiencing a quick power surge loss in the mid rpm range..
you don't see rpms drop, but you feel the power drop for a split second.
