Default Having problems accelerating with AC ON

whenever I have my AC on it sucks a lot of power off my engine and makes me press more on the gas pedal. MPG of my car (96 integra RS) is fine (about 300 miles per tank). Acceleration has been a big problem off late because of this. When I am in the middle of my acceleration and I turn the AC off the car gets a good push and accelerates fine. Any clues what my car could be missing? It has 110K on it and the last major service was about 20K miles ago. I have been taking it for regular oil changes per 3000 miles.

AC on a 4 cylinder honda is like a damn kill switch...haha
you're using power from your engine when you turn it on to power it...deffinetly a noticable decrease!
You either be cool and loose power....or crank the windows down and keep it.

Study up on the basics, then look into turbo ing. Jumping to a turbo as a rookie is asking to have something broken. You have to crawl before you can walk. The A/C compressor has a clutch in it that only engages when you turn on your A/C. During non A/C driving it is disengaged, therefore you have none of the parasitic effects like when it's on.

that's the world of the I4... get used to it... it shouldn't be enough to make your car super slow though.
Just think, it could be worse, my friend's mom had a VW beetle when she was young and when she'd accelerate into traffic she had to turn off her heat, and wipers if they were on hah
