Busted Axle and ABS light
The passenger side axle is finished and oil has been leaking from the inboard joint for quite sometimes. Few days ago I started to hear clunking noise when i trun right. The problem is the ABS light comes on now every time when I first move the car and will stay on until i shut off the engine and will not come back on again till i move the car. Does the busted axle have anythine to do with the ABS light?

The axle have an important thing to do with the ABS error. On the outboard CV joint there is a ABS ring that has teeths on them. If it gets dirty, crack. or missing teeth/s the ABS light will come on. The sensor will pick up a skip and indicates an error.

Sorry for bringing life to the dead.
It will cause an error for the same reason, when it clunks it accelerates, hits the hub, and then puts power to the tire. An engine detects misfire on the same principle, even though if one cylinder misfires one time, you may not notice it, but the ECU will see a distorted waveform because it did not contribute to turning the crank, which slows it down, and marks that cylinder with a misfire.
