Burning oil while breaking in new piston rings??

Burning oil while breaking in new piston rings??
Is it normal to burn oil while the rings are still setting in?
I burned like 3 quarts in like 2 hours.....I don't think that's supposed to happen-

Well I didn't 'break it in' for 2 hours. I broke the rings in and drove around for another hour and a half ^_^
false alarm guys it was late night and I didn't see right, its right at midway where it should be
