Default broken studs

hey dont know were to put this excatly so i figure why not here..neways this is my problem, i broke off two of the valve cover bolts/studs. how do i replace them? are they connected to the head and i have to re-tap the head or something? please let me know cause its leaking oil out from the cover

That happened to me once too (overtorqued). All you have to do is get a drill out kit. They are drill bits but with the threads in the opposite direction. Since the valve cover bolts don't require that much torque, they should come out fairly easily. Make a small hole in the broken part of the bolt and then use the drill out bit to slowly extract it. Make sure that you have someone to collect the metal shavings to prevent them from falling into the head.
