There's two valve cover bolts that wont tigthen any more on my head (front). I thought that the bolts were just stripped but when i bought new ones and tried them, they would still not get tight. further inspection showed that the threads inside the head are fucked. Anyone else have this problem? is there a temporary fix for something like this? Thanks.

that or re-tap it.

if part of the bolt body is still stuck in there then just drill it out and re-tap.

I definately second retapping these holes rather than heli coiling them (do they even make heli coils that small?, never seen any). Should be really easy to retap the threads since the head is nice and soft. Off the top of my head those bolts are 6mm X 1.25mm so you'll want to bump up one size.

ok so i guess i'll just go with retapping them and just getting that size of bolt. what about the bushings that go on the new bolts? guess i don't really need em. Thanks for the info.

Oh and yeah you're right about the bolt size.
