Default broken injector (plastic piece)


an injector broke the plastic part of it(pic above),is it going to work ok?

It may "work". The plastic, if I remember correctly, protects the injector pluse. It may drip though cause that cylinder to run rich. I would replace it just to be sure.

it's called a pintle cap and it is used to protect the needle in the end of the injector from building up with carbon. it's not NECESSARY, but i'd look into gettting the injectors you have flow tested and new o-rings and stuff on them. a good rebuild will replace ALL the pintle caps. i guess it just depends on who you get to rebuild them...

we thought it was helping the flow that plastic,we install it temprary and going to replace it,tomorrow.
