Default Is this dsm 450 injector still usable?

Not sure if this peice thats broken regulates fuel, or is just to protect the metal parts beneath it. Im referring to the injector on the right, you can see that only half of the black peice is on the end of the injector. thanks

I know someone that is using DSM injectors with no plastic tips on any of them. I just think it affects spray pattern, if anything. Personally though, I would not run it without that plastic piece, as it is there for a reason.

I have been running mine with one missing for 2 years. I would break whatever is left of the pintle cap off because i would be more worried about it falling in the engine.

if you have to get them cleaned they will be replaced anyway but I do remember dropping one on the ground before installing them and it was fine
