i just got my swap a complete 2000 itr into an ek, it remains bone stock with a little itr cold air intake and the itr stock exhaust( custumed fit). i went to the track the following week in Rockingham NC and run a 14.12 at 100.68 mph on street tires and broke the tranny the same day sucks!! some guy at the track help me out to find out what was wrong and he said it could be the differencial, this happend on my last run i lauch and heard a clicking noise on my passanger side tire i thouhg first it was an axle , but the noise came from my tranny like a jumpe movement, is there anything i can do? the car still drives with that noise and jump, but i got the car out in a tow can i get this fix or anything? is there anybody that could fix it, because nobody from around here knows to much about acura and honda, let me know any input is welcome. my number is 910-391-1820 my name is carlos.
i dunna know, it sounds like a bad cv joint to me, since it sounds like it's coming from your tranny maybe a bad inner cv joint. usually when you break a tranny, the car is not drivable.

I guess that's good news, since you couldn't have broken your LSD, since you don't have a differential in your tranny.

well, I had problem just like that last month. Everytime I excellrate it makes a knocking nosie. I jack up my car and check the axle there was nothing wrong with it. So I took both axles off and started the car and the nosie was coming from the tranny. I took the tranny apart and the ring gear and counter shaft was broken.
same thing happen to me man, except i dont have a itr. it's a b16 tranny. i bet everytime you make a right turn you hear either a series of clicks or just one click coming from you driver side. when axles go bad they make alot of clicks mostly when you turn. but if yours makes a click even when your heading straight then most likely it's your tranny. is it your diff, i'm not for sure. you have to open it up. stock type r lsd's should be alright, i don't know what your setup is though. if i was you i would take care of this problem asap before you end up on the side of the road. when it happened to me, i was at the track, my diff and the spider gears shot threw the bell housing and tranny fliud was everywhere. a week prior to that i noticed that it was making a clicking noise, i thought that it was the axles but it wasn't.
