Default Brake problem, HELP!!!

jsut put rotors and pads and bled sysytem on 99 si, the passenger rear is sticking believe the parking park needs adjustment, not sure though and the system as a whole feels very mushy, like not much pressure when the car is on. When the car is off after pumping brakes pressure builds and feel firm but when car is on not much pressure at all. Not sure what is causing this, please help!!

make sure that you lubercate your slide pins whenever you do your brake jobs. if the pins arent lubercated, they will stick, and cause that problem. use only high temperature brake silicone. they are always dry from being exposed to water. to adjust the parking brake on your 99 si (rear discs right?) just pull the ebrake up and down.

This may sound funny but I find that when I bleed the brake system I get better results doing this with the car running. And when you replace pads depending on the ones you got they just feel mushy for a bit but then get to normal feel after a couple of stops.

I had your problem with the brakes aswell (not getting full pressure while car was running) Try bleeding them one more time. Also try what was mentioned before <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by proformance &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">make sure that you lubercate your slide pins whenever you do your brake jobs. if the pins arent lubercated, they will stick, and cause that problem. use only high temperature brake silicone. they are always dry from being exposed to water. to adjust the parking brake on your 99 si (rear discs right?) just pull the ebrake up and down. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Also check the brake fuild under the hood, when you bleed brakes ALOT of that fuild will be lost.

As the last resort. Have your Master cyl checked
