Default Brake MC

hey, i swaped over a brake mc. i removed the part that holds the fluid to clean it out on the inside, then put it back on. when i got everything button'd up its leaks when the pedal is pressed from where the two connect. was i supposed to put any kinda sealant? thanks

are there MC's that u could swap onto a 95 dx hatch? like 240sx's using 300zx master cylinders... anything like that availiable from like an s2k or prelude or something?

did you tighten down the clamp that surrounds the bottom of the reservoir? you shouldn't have to put sealant on it.

And to answer the guy that hijacked your thread:

you can put a MC from a 91 Civic EX 4-door. It is 15/16th's MC as opposed to your 13/16ths. I did this on my 92 si, I am pretty sure it will fit on your dx.

yeah i tightend it down pretty good. i duno is there anywhere else the fluid can be comming from?

check the brake fittings, are they screwed down tight enough (not too tight), are they crossthreaded? is the fluid coming out of the back, where it bolts onto the brake booster? Maybe check for a crack in the reservoir. Also, check to make sure you slid the reservoir down all the way on the MC.

Other than that I don't really know.
