Bottom end build questions.

Bottom end build questions.
Hey this is my first engine build and i just had a few questions.
(1) My build consist of the normal goodies for an bottom end, acl bearings, eagel rods, wiseco pistons, oem gsr water pump etc etc
After doing all the research and watching all the evans tuning videos lol, im ready
(2) If im not resleeving the block is it necessary to plastic gauge and do all the measuring for clearances, or is that just for some one wanting the build blue printed
(3) The block is an LS which im keeping the stock sleeves for know with an block guard, with an gsr head.
