Default My block or build one on the side?

In the future I want to bore my car to obtain 2.0liters of displacement. I've been thinking of just saving and doing it to my block, but I've also been thinking of building a block on the side and just slapping my head on it when I am through. What do you guys think?

build it on the side then sell yours off.

less downtime. and less costly in the end
