Default bore b16 to 1.8

What do you guys think about boring out a b16 to a 1.8?

How is this done?
Is This safe?

you can have it re-sleeved with stronger ones at the bore you want. safest way. or just get a 1.8 block.

right... would have to Sleeve the block then bored out to 86mm to make it a 1.8L

Easier to use a 1.8L (LS, GSR or ITR) block to start off with to get the displacement without having to go big on the bore.

A 1.8L GSR is only an 81mm, B20 is an 84mm.... where did the 86mm come from?
Anyways, if you want to bore a B16 that much i would highly recomend getting it sleeved. Nothing but good things from the Golden Eagle HD sleeves.

he's using a b16. for a b16 takes bigger bore to make a 1.8L out of a 77mm crank.

Its not the same bore size calculations for the B18 and B20. The calculations from those blocks on the bore size are similar since their stroke is similar. the B16 is way off.
