Bogging at low RPM - B18c
Ever since i did my JDM B18c swap into my EG9 SiR i've felt like the motor has never run at 100%. It just feels really laggy and non responsive at low RPM.
The problem is like at around 1000 to 4000rpm it feels like the car has an extra few hundred lbs added to it but then it will free up and rev hard all the way to the limiter after around 4000rpm.
Now this bogging can't be described as jerking or hesitation, but rather it just feels really dead/flat/lifeless (just like a huge flatspot with no power). The revs go up but just seem to be held back like something is restricting it. It just doesn't feel like it revs freely. No midrange at all.
I mean when I take off from a complete stop at traffic lights I have to ride my clutch more to keep the revs up and give it quite a lot of throttle to keep up with family sedans and vans even.
I've driven my friends EK with B16a and that feels really peppy and revs freely. Surely my B18c should feel better than the B16a.
PLEASE NOTE: I have no error codes whatsover. The car idles fine and has pretty good gas consumption. I've taken my car to the drags and managed a very respectable 14.5 @ 96mph so it definately has good top end.
The things I have replaced includes: plug wires, plugs, fuel filter.
Somehow I dont think its ignition related as it doesn't jerk or stutter.
Now what could be some causes. I've sifted through a lot of archived posts and I have found that the problem can range from bad MAP, TPS, O2 sensors, ECU, knock sensor?
Can I please have some suggestions? Anyone had similar problems?
Here are my mods just for reference:
JDM EG9 Civic SiR
JDM B18c OBD1
JDM P72 ECU
IAB's wired up and working
Whale ***** intake
FGK B16a 4-2-1 header with small 2" collector.
2.5" RSR exhaust system into a N1 style muffler.
Thanks in advance.

I had a very similar problem with my B16 swap. When I first did the swap, I got a MSD coil because my stock ignition was bad. When the engine would heat up to operating temp, if would bog 3500 RPM and below. It would not fire on all cyliners. Also, when it was moist out, it would bog even more.
I replaced the MSD with a stock coil and I haven't had a problem since.

check your vac lines. Im almost telling you its an exhaust leak. How does the engine sound? does it get really loud and deep durring the flat spots? if so its fuel and an exhaust leak.
there is seriously like 1000000000 things you could try, and searching around is your best bet.
