bogging, hesitation, spuddering issue
This has been an on going issue with me for the past month and by the passing day it gets worse and worse. Let me start off is I did search both recent and archives and found a lot but no solutions and i am not going through 600+ post to find it. Let me begin what i have. it is a 97 civic dx with a y8 IM, header, magnaflow cat, PWJDM O2 extensions. Motor is mainly stock. My problem is the motor bogs quite a bit. I notice it more when i am driving to work doing 55-60 at 2500rpms both the rpm and speed drops. i can either let go of the gas or push on it and it goes back to normal. i have had times that when i push on it more to try to bring it up to 3k it hesitates. but recently it has a lot of problems in all rpm ranges up to 4k. from time to time it backfires in the cat. As long as i stay above 4k the car runs fine, but i dont really want to drive faster than i need to be in morning traffic. the most recent things i have changed or done so far has been, spark plugs twice, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, cleaned the iacv, swapped out with another P2E Manual ECU, changed both O2 sensors (only OEM). and still having this problem. Also i am not or have been throwing any CEL's what so ever. I am so sick and tired of this engine. and i apologize for this very very long rant. please please please someone help me. Also i have taken it to several mechanics and can't figure it out. oh one more thing, two weeks ago the car ran no problems not bogging what so ever and it started all over again.

Re: bogging, hesitation, spuddering issue (GoonieAsian)
I just had a similar problem. I was ready to start replacing things when I found it was just a vacuum leak on my intake manifold. So it might be worth checking that out.
