jolting acceleration
At cold startup, when warm , at idle and, At low rpms till 3000 the car runs fine,
The best way to describe what is happening, is similar to rev limit:
On acceleration, from 3000rpm through the higher rpms a choppy, rev limit ‘hesitation’ happens to the motor with split second power jolts, The car physically jerks like the car want to move but it lacking power…it will do this all the way to 7000 rpm.
This happened yester after I gutted my cat.! Is this just coincedence.??
Last month I had no spark, 1st gen B16a I replaced the igniter, and coil with replacements from my old D15B2 distributor .Also new cap and rotor from 91 teg LS….wires NGK GSR’s..but the car never ran the quite the same way up top! Is the problem spark related just getting worse, ..and the cat thing is ironic.?
any help much appreciated

u may have to remove your exhaust from your header to test....try that, run around the block a couple times unbolted...if u feel your power back, then u have some cat crumbs in your exaust...it happened to me once..
