Default blown fuse...QUESTION

brother dropped coins in lighter and started the car. coins started heating up and smoke started filling the inside of my car. The radio/lighter fuse blew. Today i tried to fix my radio by replacing the fuse but that fuse blew and so did the fuse for the ignition. So now my car won't start and I have no radio to listen to. I know its not the alternator, i'm just not getting enough spark into the engine. I tried to look for the wires that were grounding; only found one and wrapped it in electric tape.
Tried to use a larger/higher fuse, 30 instead of 15, didn't work. Is that dangerous??? Should I look deeper to find that ground????
PLEASE HELP!!

You better look deeper to find that short.

Coins in the lighter??

Probably some insulation burned off a wire somewhere & it's gonna be a real PITA to find it. You'll just make it worse by keeping a bigger fuse.

i took apart my car whole car and I followed the wires for my cigerrate lighter. remember the smoke???? well i found why it was smoking......a big section of wires were all burned together. i'm guessing when the coins started burning in the lighter, it started shorting out. i followed the wires to see how far it burned. It didn't get that far. It stopped before it got to the fuse box.

What should I do??? Should I try fixing this problem myself?? Can I rewire everything myself???
It is even worth it to go to an electrician???
Is there a way I could just go to like Kragen or something???

I really need your advise guys....
Please reply back soon

If you're not comfortable doing wiring reair I suggest finding a friend maybe, and if worse comes to worse take it to a shop. Without seeing th problem or extent of the damage I could only suggest to seperate the melted wires and wrap them up individually with electrical tape. Or if need be splice new lengths in.
