blocked off IACV

I read on here that someone did this to there IACV and it fixed his erratic idle problem...so I tried it on my b16A2, and it worked...any negative effects to this??

you mean the fitv?If you block off the iacv, i think the car would idle worst...

nah, it was the IACV on the back of the intake manifold

so how does the car idle on cold start?

at cold start, it idles like it's warmed up, around 750rpm...but something wierd happened today, i started it and it was struggling to stay started, I think the hot out weather had somethin to do with it
