Default BLOCK CRACKED!!!!! (HELP)

alright i have a freshly sleeved benson block, and it was completely built and i finally got it in, during its first heat cycle i leaked about 2 quirts of oil. i find the leak coming from the oil sending unit(also where my T is for my oil feed line) well i figure it wasnt tightend or something. so i get under the car start to see if it was tighen and crack, half the tab on the block that holds the oil sending unit broke off. i figured out to run my oil feed line and oil sending unit off of the greddy block adaptor now the hole is my problem. i pluged the hole with jb weld after friends told me it would work and reading up on it seemed like it was really good ****. well i keep reading after im done putting it on and it might have been a bad move. i have no expericne with this stuff and went off of others who used it.. i kinda want to get it welded now but not sure what to do sense the jb weld is there nad somewhat into the hole........i could really use some help on what i should do. i dont want to risk loosing the motor over this.

**sorry for the 2 threads in both welding and tech but want as much imput and help as possible**

the pressure sending unit if before the oil filter and after the pump. so the filter should take care of anything that gets in there as long as its not a whole lot. just be careful. you should be fine. and after the car runs for a while....change the oil, just to be safe.

Prolly have to pull the motor to have it welded. I'd drill it out and tap it a little deeper and put a plug in.

Why not just leave the JB weld on there. If it's been done and it works, why not just leave it?

just nervous of it falling off , and going into the oil, or loosing oil pressure at high rpm really fast

If it falls into the oil, the filter will catch it. If it leaks, you'll see it dripping. My cracked transmission was sealed with JB Weld four years ago in my daily driver and has since seen about 60,000 miles with one leak caused when I changed the axle and chipped it.
