Default bizzar leakdown test question

check this out guys. i did a leakdown test on my friends car. the motor was at TDC without a doubt. it came back 12%. so we turned the crank a little it went to 7%. what is that about. i mean is the motor not at tdc. when we turned it the cam was off at least 2 teeth. Any suggestions what was going on.

also did a compression test after. 225 220 220 225.... any help

What kind of compression numbers are you looking for that 220's aren't good enought?

Make sure it's on the compression stroke, put a screwdriver in the spark plug hole to ensure that you're at TDC.

see thats whats not making any sense the compression is there. but where is the 12 % tp 8% coming from. I mean these are total seal rings it should be 0-2% or something like that. So could it be valves/seals/guides etc... misshaped or unshaped bowls. lost over hereeee

No disrespect, but total seal rings suck ***!

How many miles on the rings?

in neutral, the piston is definately at TDC if the compressed air doesn't turn the motor over
