Default bearing Question (already searched)

ok I was installing my acl bearings and used my finger with no glove to put the asembly lube on is this ok?
One more question after installing the main caps and rods how hard should it be to turn the crank?

and the crank should have noticable drag but should still turn freely. also, only rotate the crank as little as possible once its all installed.

I would imagine that after one combustion cycle, there is nastier stuff in the oil that a microscopic amount of finger oil?? no?

good question though, I like the attention to detail.

i never thought about that really. for one, i always assemble engines with nitrile or latex gloves on, and when i'm applying lube to the bearings before setting the crankshaft in, i just squeeze it out from the tube and don't really spread it around. as you torque the main caps, the lube will spread out on its own.
how much an engine should turn with X amount of force is different to every engine builder. i like to build my engines loose, so after a good swing with the 19mm gearwrench, i like to se almost 360 degrees of rotation, if not more. depending on pistons, rods, etc.
