Default bearing question?

Hi

I just bought a JDM B16A bare block for sleeving. My question is I will be transfering my 00' Si crank and rods to this block. Do I need to change the bearings? My motor have only under 35K on it.

Thanks

I would recommend plastiguaging at the very least. If it was me, I would replace all of the bearings (rods and mains).

yes you would have to change the bearings. match the letters on the block with the numbers on the crank to get the proper main bearings, and match the letters on the crank with the numbers on the rods to get the rod bearings. i highly suggest you pick up a helms before you attempt your rebuild.

the price is approx $170 total (jobber) for all the bearings.
