Default bearing clearances and honda colorcode?

Im building this block myself(novice) so i have some ?s on main bearings.

01 bare b18c5 block, with 98 gsr crankshaft
flywheel to oilpump
d4 blue, c3 brwn, c2 grn, d3 blk, c3 brwn(all new)

1. Following helms manual - honda colorcode and torque specs/sequence.
When i was plastigauging them, the clearance was too tight, the squish mark was wider than (.025mm, .001in plastigauage chart)on all except n#3 journal- little looser.

thinking it was me but colorcode could be possibly be off ? or are they more for a refernce pt

2. Dont know if this matters?
used green bearing for all the main caps just to see, measured cap/jornal one at a time, it did spec in all the way .25mm except for no.4 slightly tighter, no.3 little looser.

3. The clearance spec that helm give for main bearing to oil journal clearance, as long as it specs in that range, should be ok?
or do i want to keep it in some optimum range, little looser
i was looking at c-speed site.

any posts welcome
thanx
