Default Battery question please help!

The negative battery terminal is loose. I realized this tonight after driving my car for a while I shut if off and then it didn't start. I looked and the cable was almost off the terminal completly. I was wondering if this could throw a CEL light and also my main question could a loose battery cable be a cause as to why my car has been bogging out a little bit? A couple of days ago my CEL light turned on and it was code 43 which is defective fuel system, so could a loose battery cable be related to that as well? Thanks guys

I personally wouldn't think that the battery terminal would have an effect on the fuel system unless somehow it's grounded to the same system the negative battery terminal is grounded too....but either way the negative terminal would deffinitely cause it to not start, but i also wouldn't think it would bog it down or cause it to stall unless your alternator is shot as well. Sounds like you can just tighten the battery cable and have one problem solved, but the fuel thing sounds like a different problem all together.
