Do a voltage drop on the power side and the ground side.It could have lots of ressistance.

how would you go about doing a voltage drop?...just using a voltmeter and testing the + and - for ressistance?

well for sure the main ground from the battery to the trans is good...the battery terminals are cleaned..only a 2 months old battery....and yeah i did replace the terminal for the +

im going to clean even better the bracket that holds the clutch cable...where the main ground wire connects to the trans...this problem sucks though

voltage drop take the + side of the voltmeter lead to the + battery terminal and the neg. lead of the voltmeter to the starter. Disable the dist. and crank the motor the reading should be your voltage drop from the battery to starter it should be no more than .5 volts. Do the exact opposite for the ground side.

Have you been washing your engine bay?

This happened to me where water actually got in the cable that goes from the battery tot the starter and they were soaked!. Changed cables and started right up!
