I know this has probably been covered before but I've searched and wasn't able to find what I was looking for.
I've always heard that improper hook-up could cause the alternator to keep everything alive when the motor is running after switching it off. I've made a diagram
of the way I think it should be hooked up. Can you guys take a look over it and let me know what you think. It's for my race car....thanks in advance.

i think the 20 amp rating is dependent on the gauge of the wire they are specifying, in this case 10 gauge. if you're worried about it use something bigger like maybe 8 gauge. i'm almost positive the switch itself can handle more.
