battery

would the only reason the battery light come on is when the battery is bad? my light comes on when driving but then goes away then comes back on then goes away, any ideas? thanks

sounds like the battery is dead, and the only thing keeping you runnin is the alternator. do you have trouble starting??

The battery light comes on if there isn't enough output from the alternator.

yes the cd player cuts on and off, then the tach went dead. so that would be the battery? thanks

What he said. Disconnect the battery with the car running, if it dies, the alternator ain't working.
