draining battery

Default draining battery

i just got my battery charged...i start the car and i leave it on for about 30 seconds, shut it off and try to start it again...now the battery is dead...wud the alternator kill that battery that fast??

alternator doesnt kill the battery, all the accesories do.

alternator is also know as a generator. with a bad alternator, your car could be using the battery as the only power source and will not last long without the alternator. my guess is to take your car to autozone and get a free alternator test

how old is your battery? did you load test it after you charged it?

i took it to autozone to have it tested..sed it was good

do you have an aftermarket cd player? if so did you have someone else install it? one of my friends bought a car with an aftermarket cd player, the kid had some business install it. turns out they crossed the wires with a buncha **** and thats the reason for my friends battery dieing every day

Check the wires on the alternator. are they all tightened down pretty good? I had this same problem till I found out that the hot wire to the alternator was loose..
