bare itr block question
I can pick up a cheap bare itr block but it comes with no main bearings or crank
I currently have a gsr motor that I plan building for boost
would it be worth to invest on a bare ITR block? thank.....

If you only have money to build one or the other, just build the B18C1 block. The blocks are identical save for a couple of non-issue items.
Build the ITR block for later on or as a back-up motor. A new crank is only $100 to $400 used. I've seen a wide range of prices, but it sure beats paying $700+ for a brand new crankshaft.
If you don't need it, or don't want it, sell it.

After re-reading again, I suspect that you might have meant that the block lacks the main caps and girdle. In that case, it would be kinda hard to find a set of caps b/c Honda/Acura dealers won't sell them to you individually...they come paired with the block.
If you can find a set, you'll have to line bore them and recheck your clearances to make sure you can still use standard-sized bearings so you don't have to turn the crank main journals down and get over-sized bearings.
