BAR question
I'm assuming your BAR sticker says "1.8L Acura Integra" or something to that effect. Depending on how knowledgeable or strict your smog technician is, they may or may not even notice that the engine doesn't match the sticker. Even if they do, if the engine in the car is the correct generation for it, they may not even care. In either case, I don't think you'd "lose" the sticker, it just wouldn't apply to the current engine in the car. Worst case they'll probably just decline the test and send you somewhere else. Run-of-the-mill smog stations don't have the authority to do much other than that.
i agree inspyral. i think the sticker is the only thing showing that you had the car BARed (besides the BARs records). if this is true they won't be looking for it.
what a waste though, all the work of getting a car to pass the BAR to have a stock motor put in.

after failing smog(burned out o2) i go back to smog it again, guy says they can't do it 'cause the motor don't match the sticker, so now i either have to drop in a b18 or go to the ref and get the sticker revoked.... decisions, decisions...
you said you were going to swap it later right? just have it swaped because it can be a pain to get it BARed. you could also try another smog place, i'm sure one of them won't catch it or won't care.

i doubt it, not all smog places are that lax nowadays. the place i went to is usually cool, the guy let my intake slide, but not the motor with the sticker. the smog cert brings up a 1.8 so that's probably what i'm going to have to go with... anyone got one lying around or know of anyone letting one go for cheap or trade?
