bad wheel bearings, or something else?
my girls has an eg coupe and when the wheels are turning theres a sound kinda like a bad axle but a little different. doesn't really get worse around turns like an axle would. I replaced the axles just to be sure and it wasn't them. its hard to describe the sound but it is directly related to wheel speed. with the car in gear or not.
is there anything it could really be besides wheel bearings? and is there any way to get an accurate diagnosis?

jack car up. grab wheel 6/12 oclock and pull in each said direction and if there is ANY slop/play change them. also they do not ALWAYS have play or slop to be bad. the sound of a bad WB should be a load ROAR or growling
Or, after driving for a bit, stop and grab hold of the spindal nut, have hub caps off if you have them, if the nut is warm/hot, replace the bearing. 94
If its making a sort of (woah woah woah noise lol ) bad wheel bearing , gets louder the faster you move ? I have an eg and it was doing the same turned out being the wheel bearings for the front . Lml how it goes for you
yup that's the sounds. its also gotten pretty bad so now the streering wheel wheel will lightly jerk as the wheel turns. it jerk in sync with the wub wub wub sound.
