There's only 2 more things I can think of....

- Throttle body gasket or Intake manifold gasket leak: They must be sealed tight, otherwise they will cause the idle to surge. The fact that you cant even maintain idle with the IACV unplugged is a sign that there seem to be a leak somewhere.

-Timing - You never mentioned what your timing was at. You could be a tooth off in your timing, or you could be incorrectly set.

Get back to us and let us know what happens. Also at this point, throw the IACV lines back on and just leave the coolant lines off of the t-body. This is to maintain a less erratic idle.

I used carb spray all arround the tb and intake manifold to see if the car will sound different.

Also the car has alot of power so i dont think my timing is off.

I have seen tps voltage off like that cause a bad idle. I would correct it.

But, you said you jumped teeth, I would do a leakdown like builthatch said.

it is possible for a tps to just go bad, it happened to me many times in my 95 civic and would case an erratic idle, surging up to like 1500 and back down to about 600. changed tps and ran fine? sorry if this is no help

i had a nasty hunting idle problem that ended up being a faulty coolant temp sensor to the ecu.

it was throwing realy bad info to the ecu.

also, have you fully bled your coolant system, or possibly fully flushed it?

its also not safe to assume timing is perfect just because the car seems powerful. could still be off a bit....

I dont mean to jack your post but i'm having the same problem....

JDM D15B vtec, Skunk2 IM & Throttle body...... i just put the motor in 2 weeks ago and the idle goes from 1000k RPM to 1500K RPM. i've unpluged the IACV and the car will idle, but when you give it some throttle it will stutter around 2500K RPM and wont go past. and since then i broke my TPS so i dont think it could be it cause with it not hooked up it just idles HIGH around 2500K RPM, then like a said, whenever you unplug the IACV it will idle around 1000K RPM.....

did a Compression Test, Leak Down Test, Vacuum Test, and it all checks out GREAT. my teacher said in all his years in the automotive field and teaching he said hes never seen an engine check out go good......

any one have any ideas.
