b20vtec throwing code need soem insight asap
my freind just swapped a gsr head onto a b20z stock bottom. its throwing a code 9. the setup is a bonestock bottom end b20z with a stock gsr head. we brought it up to 7200 and shifted into 2nd and the code threw. i searched and all the posts had nothign to do with a OBDII swap. he is running a OBDIIa p72 gsr ecu could the sensor just unplugged by itself because i heard that he shouldnt be getting this code regardless. any insight would be appreciated

you used the crank position sensor (ckp) form the b20z? that would cause a lot of problems while the two may look the same they read at different amps so when you go over i think 7000 rpm it will throw a code. try to get your hands on a p72 obd2 ckp.
