Default B20vtec idling problem, HELP!!!!

My b20vtec wont seem to stay idling and has sudden surges from 1500-2500rpms but im only throwing code 10? anyone know my problem and know how to fix it?

how u check for a air leak? i dont think its my idle control valve because wouldnt i get a cell code for that?

try carb cleaner, you'll notice the engine bog when the leak intakes the carb cleaner. Check around the head flange, tb, and brake booster lines. if you have a fast idle thermo on the tb, make sure the plunger is seated in it correctly.

well im using a skunk2 manifold so im not gonna have the fast idel thermo sensor and its obd2

The fast idle thermo is on the TB not the intake manifold. That's the easy fix, the other ones may or may not be trickier to find.

Yeah, those are only found on Automatic cars that I know of, not sure where you may have got the tb. Anyhow, rule that one out

Oh, totally forgot. My b20/vtec would idle like crap on my PR4 ECU (that's obd-1 LS correct?).

I made damn sure there were no leaks and the idle screw would only add to the chaos. It just woudn't idle right. Until, I got a custom map done with Neptune (Thanks LoCash Joe!). Other then that and some spark plugs, 7s, now she purrs at 900rpm solid.

yea im using a obd1 jdm p30 and i made sure theres no leaks...i replaced all vaccum lines and even the throttle body it self and gasket....and it still wont idle right. when i use to have my obd2 p72 everything worked great but now everything works like crap! haha
