Default B20b catch can "With Pictures"

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could look at this and see if I'm on the right track.

I have only found layouts for Turbo guys and I'm not really wanting to get to crazy with a catch can setup.

Is this a good setup and also can anyone tell me what to do with "M" in the picture?
If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Option 1
Cap off D.
Run M to catch can.
Have bung welded in C and install fitting and run to catch can.

Option 2
Put filter on M or a hose and vent to atmosphere.
Cap off D and plug C
Purchase prelude fittings for back of block and run to catch can

Thank you, your helping alot
I want to avoid block venting I have read about oil creeping up and filling catch can.

My question about your first suggestion is what do I do about idle and part throttle? Since there is no vacuum from the intake manifold to pull in fresh air from the breather tube.

Yeah I've seen people say that also but I've never had it happen. That's the only venting I have done on my boosted integra and it's been fine. You don't need vacuum. You're just relieving crank case pressure. Just gotta give it a path to take.

A little late to this one sorry. But I kind of back burnered my B20 project for a while and thought I'd see if anything new popped up.

Not quite. "M" is a fresh air intake for the crankcase. You can put a filter on there, but the pressure effects of the intake tube do a pretty good job of getting clean air into the crankcase. leaving a tube is the best plan.

Otherwise the prelude fittings are a solid idea. I've installed them on mine, I just need to figure out what catch can I want to run. I really want to get something that will cohabitate in the battery tray with my pc680.

Bottom line is that the b20 can use some extra breathing capability if its going to get beat on, but thats no secret.

Why do you want to avoid block venting? Thats the whole point of upgrading the breathing system. If you don't want to worry about the can filling up you can run a drainback.
